Audit steps
- Map the site: docks, doors, aisles, yards, mezzanines, offices and storage zones.
- Observe actual work during normal and peak operations.
- Speak with supervisors, workers, drivers, contractors and visitors.
- Check physical controls: barriers, bollards, lighting, signs, cameras, locks and emergency access.
- Check records: inductions, SWMS, inspections, incidents, maintenance and training.
- Prioritise actions by risk, practicality and who owns the change.
